Community Guidelines

CheerLibrary is built by the cheer community, for the cheer community. These guidelines keep it accurate, safe, and welcoming.

Last updated July 2026

Be accurate

  • Describe skills and progressions truthfully and clearly.
  • Cite established coaching practice; don’t invent unsafe progressions.
  • Only link videos that genuinely demonstrate the skill.

Put safety first

  • Include realistic prerequisites and safety notes.
  • Never encourage attempting skills without proper coaching and spotting.

Be respectful & original

  • No harassment, hate, or spam.
  • Only submit content you have the right to share (see the CLA).

Linking videos

A good demonstration link:

  • Comes from a supported platform — YouTube, Vimeo, Instagram, or TikTok.
  • Shows the skill actually being performed, with safe technique.
  • Matches the skill on the page (not a compilation or loosely related clip).
  • Doesn’t expose identifying details of minors beyond what the platform already shows.

Moderation & appeals

Every submission — new skills and edits alike — is reviewed by moderators before going live. If a submission is rejected, the moderator’s note explains why; you’re welcome to revise and resubmit. Content that breaks these guidelines may be rejected or removed, and repeat offenders may be suspended.

Reporting

Spotted something inaccurate, unsafe, or inappropriate? Use the report option on the page in question (or contact the team) and a moderator will take a look. Reports are reviewed by humans, and reporting in good faith will never count against you.
